Dear Sirs,

We are writing with regard to the service we have received from [Farrell Heyworth] Allerton Road, Liverpool Branch. It is very rare now days that I feel you receive any form of service that is worthy of commending, but we feel in this case compelled to put pen to paper.

As you appreciate, selling a house is a stressful time, but ours was coupled with the added pressure of the fact we are moving abroad plus the rather bad timing of the demise of the property market.

We initially had put the house on the market at the end of February 2008, with another estate agent based on Allerton Road; with the promise of a quality service to rival its competitors. However, straight away they were constantly making errors, some huge ones. The staff were rude and we were always ignored as we waited in the office.

Completely disillusioned with the whole Estate Agency business, by a series of incidents, poor customer service and negative press regarding the UK property market, we decided to rent the property out.

Upon walking into Farrell Heyworth on Allerton Road, admittedly for the first time our fortunes seem to change. We were immediately greeted by Howard Roberts - who actually left his seat to talk to us. We explained our position and I can remember his words clearly, "I want to help you". Sounds daft, but I actually felt that he genuinely meant it and after the [issues] we had had to put up with from the other company we were willing to give anything a try.

Within days of us signing for [Farrell Heyworth] we had viewings both for rental and for sales; feedback was given immediately and a strong friendship was formed with the entire team. The service we received upon phoning and going into the branch was very personal, with immediate recognition from ALL staff to our names and faces, and to our predicament and lack of time. Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of them, and all possible angles were covered.

And it paid off - at the final hour we got the all-important offer, with the team handling the negotiation perfectly. Fingers crossed the rest of the sale will run according to plan as we leave the country on Saturday, but we feel contented that we have left it in very capable hands.

Howard is a remarkable person, with a fantastic personality, a real person's person. Although I may not be qualified to comment - a true professional in his field of work.

His team of Jamie, Carole, Steve, Gaynor and Nicola also were extremely knowledgeable of the market, attentive and showed understanding and consideration throughout.

Such a horrible start to our big adventure was completely turned around by such a dedicated team and it became, dare I say it, a rather fun and pleasurable experience.

We would not hesitate in recommending Howard and his team to our family and friends.
