We run our IT operations in-house, including the development of online software & websites, and the management of infrastructure to our branches across all the North West. We use cutting edge technology and apply technology to improve our market share.

The role of the Development Intern is to provide mobile web development on behalf of Farrell Heyworth. Your duties will include:

  • Analysing and planning our mobile solutions
  • Development of mobile solutions
  • Analysing and planning search engine optimisation solutions
  • Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly search engine optimisation tasks
  • Increasing search engine optimisation (SEO) for websites through Link Building and writing targeted web copy
  • Building profile and presence through social media
  • The role will also involve other general IT duties

The role of the Infrastructure Intern is to provide world class support to the branches on behalf of Farrell Heyworth. Your duties will include:

  • Research and respond to IT support issues in the "as a service" domain
  • Participate in and/or manage communication to and from internal clients and IT staff
  • May coordinate Pilot Studies and tests
  • Follow up with internal clients about completed tasks to ensure client satisfaction
  • May coordinate special activities and attend various meetings and training sessions
  • The role will also involve other general IT duties

We are seeking the following competencies and attributes

  • Efficient systematic approach, excellent time management.
  • Knowledge of c#, .net and HTML 5, or
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualisation
  • Ability to multi task
  • Working quickly with good momentum

Dependent on the applicant, this could lead on to a regular full-time or part-time role

  • Minimum 21.5 hours per week, but if you can commit to more, we can train you more.
  • You should be able to commit for a 3 month minimum, and the full internship is 12 months.
  • This role has no salary as this is an internship and not an employment position, however, lunch and travel expenses will be covered after the first 3 months.
  • Most importantly, the right candidate will be a motivated self-starter, with a professional manner, an ability to act on their own initiative and as part of a team, display a positive attitude, be highly organised and hard working.
